Martin Murer (University of Salzburg) is a researcher, designer, educator, and artist working with, around, and against interactive technologies. His main interest lies in how new technological expressions unfold through engaging with existing artefacts and tools in a de-constructive way. His work in Human-Computer Interaction typically follows research through design, blending theory and practice to critically explore human-technology relations. Drawing on traditions of craft and making, he investigates how interactive systems can be reimagined through hands-on experimentation, artistic interventions, and the reappropriation of everyday materials. His interdisciplinary approach bridges design, art, and embodied interaction to challenge conventional narratives of hybridity.
