Sensing the Internet by Dmitry Morozov a.k.a ::vtol:: is a workshop with an entry fee of 50 lv. (NAA students can benefit of 50% discount on the price), which main idea is to explore several straightforward methods for extracting useful project-related information from various web pages: for example, reading data from scientific laboratory websites or tracking stock markets. Using tools like Python and Max/MSP, we will examine different approaches and, with the help of interesting online resources containing suitable real-time data, create prototypes of programs that will eventually enable the realization of various projects utilizing this information.
