Hush Glitches: Towards Transdisciplinarity in Art-Science Collaborations
Presentation of Andrei Tudose / Marginal, Romania
Marginal has consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional artistic practice, moving beyond isolated projects to build a sustained inquiry into societal issues from a multi-disciplinary perspective. This exploration deepened in 2024 with Cyber-Body Systems (researching sensemaking through embodiment in a digital world), and Chronicles from In-between 490 to 570 nm, developed in partnership with the Institute of Biology in Bucharest. Hush Glitches is the next step in this evolution. It builds on the transdisciplinary methodologies developed in earlier projects, where artists and scientists engaged in a true, back-and-forth dialogue to create a shared practice. The project aims to refine this process, exploring a more integrated approach in art-science, one that moves beyond surface-level representations of environmental issues to create a truly meaningful artistic experience.
