Home reflects on how the emotional memory of a place stays with us even after the place itself has vanished. The installation draws attention to the sudden loss of familiar spaces and shows how, like memory, places are always changing. Fragile stone—a material that absorbs heavy metals and radiation—becomes a metaphor for the fragile nature of memory. Photographs of the lost places, taken after interviews with people who lost their homes, are printed onto the stones. Occasionally, fragments of these interviews play, sharing stories of loss and hand-drawn memories of their former homes. Visitors are invited to walk on the stones, making their footsteps a living act of transforming and reclaiming memory. Through this shared experience, Home becomes a space to reflect on loss, displacement, and the enduring bond to places that no longer exist.
